Massage

Prior to the Massage

Kneading Hands strives to be a respectful, safe, and confidential environment, where together we will work toward achieving your goals. Prior to your session we will determine what your goals are for the session.

Your first appointment will be 15-20 minutes longer than subsequent massages with no extra charge. This time will be used to obtain health and medical history.

We will maintain a clean and hygienic space, and it would be greatly appreciated if the same measures were taken in regards to the cleanliness of your being prior to arriving for massage.

We respect all clients regardless of age, gender, race, national origin, sexual orientation, religion, socio-economic status, body type, political affiliation, state of health, or personal habits.

If your needs are beyond our scope of practice we will refer you to an appropriate professional.

Within ethical bounds, we will massage as much or as little as you are comfortable. Genitals will NEVER be exposed or massaged!

Ethical treatment in the massage is of utmost importance; sexual behavior or harassment will not be tolerated. If you ever feel uncomfortable with anything please let us know immediately. If either party feels his or her safety is compromised at any time during the session, the session will be terminated immediately.

Medical Conditions

If you have any serious medical conditions, approval from your doctor may be necessary to proceed with the massage.

Massage may not be administered if you are in the first trimester of a pregnancy.

Massage increases circulation and can thus increase the affects of drugs or alcohol, sometimes resulting in harmful medical problems. Therefore please do not drink of take any drugs prior to your session. If you arrive intoxicated we reserve the right to cancel your appointment and collect payment for its full value.

It is important to be aware that massage therapy is not a replacement for medical care and we will not be making diagnoses. Though, we may suggest stretches and other self-care tips for you to implement at home.

Cancellations and Tardiness

If you cancel an appointment without giving 24 hours notice you will be charged the full price of the massage. If I cancel the massage without giving 24 hours notice, your next massage will be free of charge.

Failure to arrive on time will result in full payment for our time. We will do our best to provide a complete session with our remaining time.
